Hi there, I’m Kait
Welcome to my table! I’m the brains behind Abe’s Table. Abe’s Table was started in January of 2020 as a hobby where my close family and friends could grab recipes and return to the recipes over and over again. Well… things have escalated, I’ve become…how might you put this? OBSESSIVE and have decided to turn this hobby into my full-time focus. Abe’s Table has evolved into a place where many come to grab seasonal recipes that nourish their heart and soul.
My goal is to help you harness your “down-home mom” vibe! You will learn how to gracefully host backyard barbecues (and maintain both eyebrows!). Soon you’ll be waltzing confidently into parties with HOMEMADE pie in hand and yes of course you made the crust! We’ll brush up your knowledge on growing and using fresh herbs, as they brighten up recipes and are especially important for a refreshing cocktail. Stick with me and together we’ll laugh and learn. It’s my wish, that you have fun creating a home environment that wraps you in a cocoon, sustains you, and where you create many happy memories.

The best part is you can do all this without being a gourmet chef, all you need is a few very basic skills and a cheerleader, me! I’ll be here with tips and tricks for cooking and gardening (a new skill I’m learning).
When I’m not cooking I’m digging in the dirt with my son Jude our mini scientist or gardening with my husband Chris who’s slowly turning our standard backyard into a farm. We have ducks, a greenhouse, and I’m sure Chris will come home any day with a goat!

Many are surprised to find that fresh out of High School, I was lost. I had absolutely no idea what I wanted in life but knew I loved cooking so to pass the time I enrolled in culinary school for baking and pastries. After culinary school, I decided to obtain my Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies and became a PreK teacher and loved every minute of it. Now using my culinary background and harnessing my inner early childhood nerd I welcome the next chapter of my life… Abe’s Tabe.
I’m so glad you stopped by Abe’s Table, and hope you’ll continue to come back and hang out. Cheers, Kait
