Nana’s Cheesy Potato Recipe or Funeral potatoes whatever you like to call them, are the perfect side dish. They are creamy, cheesy, and a starch… who doesn’t want starch?

When I started dating my husband his mom introduced me to the world of casseroles, I’m not sure where these land on the spectrum of casseroles, but I was over the moon when his mom (now nana) would make them. When your eating Nana’s cheesy potatoes you know everything in the world will be ok. I make them for my family regularly but let’s be honest no one makes them better than Nana!
Cheesy potatoes, flank steak, and a chopped salad with lemon dressing. There is no better combo I guarantee. Let’s make Nana’s secret cheesy potatoes!

Ingredietns
Shredded Potatoes: I find these in the frozen section at the market. Costo has the best ones they are unseasoned and come in a large bag. Otherwise, I use any other frozen hashbrowns that I can find.
Canned soup: For the cream of chicken and cream of potato soup Nana uses Campbells.
Shredded cheese: I like to use Tillamook it seems to melt more evenly.
Mix, bake, and enjoy!
